Martin's Potato Chips And Pizza Hut Products Will Be Available At Sovereign Bank Stadium
Martin’s Potato Chips will be the “Official Potato Chip of the Revolution” with Martin’s snack products available throughout the ballpark. In addition, Martin’s delivery trucks in the area - along with potato chip bags - will contain the Revolution team logo. During the recent Revolution Community Caravan Week, the team gave out Martin’s products at many local appearances. "Baseball and potato chips are both American inventions of the mid-1800’s,” said Butch Potter, president of Martin’s Potato Chips. “We're proud to be part of professional baseball’s return to York and to be an official sponsor of the York Revolution. Our customers are baseball fans and vice versa, so it’s a great situation for a hometown food business to be working with a family-oriented organization such as the Revolution." As the “Official Pizza of the Revolution,” Pizza Hut products will be available for fans to enjoy at Sovereign Bank Stadium. In addition, Pizza Hut and the Revolution will combine to offer a special collector’s series of baseball card sets. The first set of cards will be available at the June 10 Revolution home game, while the second and third sets will be available at all York Pizza Hut locations in July and August. Also, each Revolution home game will feature a special “K-Man” promotion. When a pre-selected visiting batter strikes out, all fans in attendance can redeem their ticket stubs for FREE breadsticks at York and Lancaster Pizza Hut locations. "We are very pleased to see baseball coming back to York and we know that the entire community shares in this excitement,” said Heather Runkle, local marketing specialist for Pizza Hut. “When we first began talking with the Revolution, we knew it was an opportunity that we just couldn't pass up! We are anxiously waiting to share in their bright and successful future." Martin’s Potato Chips was founded in 1941 and is based in Thomasville, PA. Over 50 routes operate from the distribution facilities in Reading, Allentown, Williamsport, Lancaster and Hagerstown, MD to ensure products are delivered fresh daily. Martin’s also has distribution serving Pittsburgh, Altoona, Philadelphia, New York and Virginia. Pizza Hut has six locations in and around York County. The company was founded in 1958 and is the world's largest pizza restaurant chain. Pizza Hut is based in Addison, TX and has locations worldwide. “We are looking forward to our partnership with a terrific, local company like Martin’s, along with Pizza Hut, who is one of the leading restaurant chains in the world,” said Revolution General Manager Matt O’Brien. “Through our discussions with each company, it has become evident that they both share our commitment to the community and we are excited about working with both of them.” The Revolution begin play this spring, with the first-ever game in Sovereign Bank Stadium scheduled for May 15.
