TWO-TIME CHAMPION REVOLUTION UNVEIL BULK OF 2012 PROMOTIONS
The journey begins again with another ring cermony May 1, several great giveaways currently being planned throughout the season 

The two-time defending Atlantic League Champion York Revolution have released the bulk of their 2012 promotional schedule, as some old favorites return along with some exciting new ways for fans to save and make the most of their Revolution experience.

Since everyone likes fireworks, let’s get that out of the way first:  There will be post-game fireworks (weather permitting) after EVERY Saturday home game this season and after the game on Wednesday, July 4.  Every Sunday will again feature the family activities beginning an hour before the game, the full-team autograph session and catch on the field.  Post-game kids run the bases will follow.

Popular Revolution giveaways will also be a part of the 2012 season, and will be announced shortly.  The giveaways will last throughout the season and include such fan favorites as baseball caps and bobbleheads. 

The home opener at Sovereign Bank Stadium in Downtown York will be Tuesday, May 1 when the Revs take on the Camden Riversharks at 6:30 p.m.  For a second straight opening day, the team will receive their championship rings in an on-field ceremony. 

Fans won’t have to wait long after the opener for more baseball, as the Revs will be back at it at 11 a.m. the following two days against Camden (May 2 & 3) for the annual “Baseball In Education” days.  Any school group that would like to participate is encouraged to call 717-801-HITS today to reserve their spot.  The team is also holdig an 11 a.m. mid-summer game for the first time, on Wednesday, July 18.  Any camp group or summer organization which is interested in attending should contact the Revolution as soon as possible about that as well.

Other popular staples of the Revolution Baseball experience that will return in 2012 include:

• The pre-game Zumbathon on Saturday, May 5
• Bike Night on Saturday, May 12
• Salute to veterans on Friday, May 25
• Bark In The Park Day on Sunday, May 27 where fans can bring their dog to the ballpark for the game
• Cancer Survivors Night including the game-worn pink jersey silent auction presented by Ability Prosthetics and Orthotics on Sunday, June 10
• Boy Scout Night with on-field sleepover after the game on Friday, June 22 and Friday, August 18
• Salute to the Armed Forces on July 4, including the game-worn camouflage jersey silent auction presented by BAE Systems
• Girl Scout Night with on-field sleepover after the game on Friday, July 13
• Hispanic Heritage Night on Saturday, July 14
• York County Junior Girls Softball Night on Thursday, August 2
• Girl’s Night Out presented by Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 14
• High School Spirit night presented by OSS on Saturday, September 15

The signature Sovereign Bank Stadium food events will also be returning this season.  Most Wednesdays will again be “Wing Wednesday,” where for $25 ($20 for season ticket holders) fans can enjoy the game and an all-you-can-eat wing buffet in the Bud Light Picnic Pavilion.  Fill Your Tummy Tuesday will also return, where fans can enjoy the game and a THREE-HOUR all-you-can-eat buffet for just $22. ($17 for season ticket holders.)  The Bud Light Picnic Pavilion will again host the Pig Roast on Sunday, July 8 and the Crab Feast on Sunday, August 5.

Single game tickets for the 2012 Revolution season go on sale in person at the Apple Chevrolet Box Office and online at YorkRevolution.com on Saturday, February 4.  The Revolution will be rolling out the following exciting ticket deals for 2012, with the help of their loyal sponsors:

Pizza Hut Nights:  On four dates this season fans can come to a game on Pizza Hut, by simply purchasing a large pizza for carry-out or dine-in at participating York County Pizza Hut stores.  Purchase a large pizza, get two FREE tickets!  It’s that easy.  The Pizza Hut games are:  Monday, May 21 vs. Sugar Land, Wednesday, June 20 vs. Sugar Land, Wednesday, August 1 vs. Bridgeport and Monday, September 3 vs. Sugar Land.  (Offer is good beginning two weeks before each game.)

Maple Donuts Nights:  On four dates this season fans can come to a game on Maple Donuts, by purchasing a dozen from any of the York locations.  For a purchase of a dozen donuts, fans will get two FREE tickets!  The Maple Donuts games are:  Wednesday, May 23 vs. Sugar Land, Wednesday, June 6 vs. Camden, Tuesday, July 17 vs. Bridgeport and Thursday, September 6 vs. Sugar Land.  (Offer is good beginning two weeks before each game.)

Turkey Hill Bottle Cap ticket redemption night:  Come to the Revs game on Monday, June 18 against the Sugar Land Skeeters courtesy of Turkey Hill.  Beginning on February 4, fans may bring a bottle cap from any Turkey Hill beverage into the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office and exchange it for one field box ticket to that night’s game.  (Limit six per person, based on availability.)

AAA Night:  For the game against Lancaster on July 28, AAA members who show their card at the box office can get buy one get one free tickets for this game.  (In advance, or the day of the game, based on availability.)

Also new for 2012, the Revolution has introduced the WellSpan Health Silver Sluggers Club for Revs fans 55 and older.  Membership allows fans tickets to every Tuesday home game, a Silver Sluggers cap, a membership card for discounts on food, and “seniors walk the bases” after every Tuesday game.  (Not that we think everyone over 55 is a “senior,” you can run the bases after the game if you want, no matter what age you are.)  Membership is just $35 apiece!
