"HUMONGOUS" PITCHING PERFORMANCE POWERS REVS IN GAME TWO
Justin Edwards tossed six scoreless inning combining on a 4-0 shutout as the York Revolution earned a doubleheader split with the Road Warriors on Sunday afternoon in front of 4,647 fans at Sovereign Bank Stadium. The Revs will wrap up their homestand on Labor Day Monday against the Road Warriors at 5 p.m. Edwards (1-0) scattered six hits and walked none in his six shutout innings while striking out four. Reliever Sean Stidfole fired a perfect seventh to close it out. Scott Grimes blasted a solo homerun to left-center leading off the bottom of the third for the Revs’ first run. The Revs salvaged the game two victory after dropping their opener 8-7, surrendering a six-run lead in the process. The Revs will conclude the homestand on Monday at 5 p.m. with righty Shaun Garceau (4-7, 5.16) facing the Road Warriors’ Luke Massetti (8-11, 5.70).
